Regulations youth 11 to 17 years

Anglers, parents and volunteers are requested to adhere to this so that no discussions arise during or after the competition. In all cases not provided for in these regulations, the decision of the competition committee is binding. Parents who are on the competition committee or board may not be involved in the category in which their child participates. Every participant is expected to comply with these regulations.

 

Regulations:

 

  1. Maximum rod length 11.5 meters.

  2. Fishing is only allowed with maggots, casters and/or pinkies.

  3. You may only supplement with maggots, casters and/or pinkies. No bait. If you use groundbait or if you have any doubts about this, you will automatically be disqualified.

  4. Only sawdust, polenta or cornmeal may be added to the maggots.

  5. It is not allowed to use a dip or fragrance.

  6. Bringing your bait with a throwing stick, cup or top cup is allowed

  7. Fishing with or being in possession of red maggots is not allowed.

  8. Competition management may check your bait at all times.

  9. After the match, you may not throw the remaining bait into the water, but you must take it with you.

  10. The use of a platform or platform is permitted.

What can parents or supervisors do:

​

  1. Parents/supervisors can help you set up the equipment.

  2. After the start signal, parents/supervisors or other spectators are expected not to get too close. Only members of the board or competition committee or the designated volunteers are allowed to do this.

  3. You must be able to gauge the float yourself, otherwise ask one of the volunteers. This should not be done by your parents or supervisors.

  4. If you have a big fish on the hook, always try to scoop yourself. If not, ask for a volunteer.

  5. You have to feed the bait yourself. If not, ask for a volunteer.
